How booking works
No online checkout, no account, no app. A short conversation, a firm quote, and a route pack in the post. Here's the whole process from first click to first stile.
-
You enquire
Use the enquiry form or email. Rough dates and a vague plan are fine, "two of us, September-ish, not too far each day" is a perfectly good enquiry. If you're between two itineraries, say so and we'll recommend one honestly.
-
We check real availability
We contact the actual B&Bs on your dates, no cached availability, no algorithmic guesses. You get back a firm per-person price and the proposed overnight stops, usually within one working day (a little longer in peak season).
-
You confirm with a deposit
Happy with the quote? A deposit secures every room and the transfer schedule. The balance is due before departure, dates and amounts are stated plainly on your quote, and the booking conditions cover changes and cancellation.
-
Your route pack arrives
Before you travel: maps, daily route notes, accommodation list with contact details, luggage labels, transport guidance for arrival and departure, and the support line number. Everything you need to walk out of Wallsend without a single unanswered question.
-
You walk; we stay on call
Bags move daily, beds are waiting, and the support line answers 24/7 if anything wobbles, a strained knee, a navigation doubt, a B&B question. Most walkers never need it. It's there anyway.
Questions people ask about booking
How far ahead should I book?
For May, June or September: three to six months ahead protects your choice of the scarce central-section beds. Shoulder-season and shorter breaks can often be arranged within weeks, ask, the answer is free.
Can I change dates after booking?
Usually, subject to the B&Bs' own policies, earlier is always easier. The specifics live in the booking conditions rather than in small print you find later.
Do you take card payments?
Payment methods are confirmed with your quote. There is deliberately no online checkout on this site, every booking passes through a human who has checked your dates actually work.
Step one costs nothing
An enquiry is a conversation, not a commitment. Tell us what you're thinking and we'll tell you what's possible.
