Who you're booking with
Holidays on this website are operated by Walk Hadrians Holidays, trading as Walk Hadrians Wall. Registered business details are available on request.
Your booking
A booking exists once you have accepted a written quote and paid the deposit stated on it. The quote sets out your itinerary, overnight stops, party details, price, deposit and balance dates. The balance is due by the date shown on your quote, normally eight weeks before your start date; where you book inside that window, the full price is payable at the time of booking. If the balance is unpaid after a reminder we may treat the booking as cancelled by you, and the cancellation charges below will apply.
Changes and cancellation by you
Tell us as early as possible, in writing. Cancellation takes effect on the day we receive your notice. Date changes are accommodated where the B&Bs and transfer schedule allow.
Cancel before the balance falls due, normally eight weeks before your start date, with the exact date shown on your quote: you lose the deposit, and nothing further is payable.
Cancel once the balance has been paid or has fallen due: the full cost of the holiday is payable and no refund is made. This applies whatever the reason, including illness, injury, a change of personal circumstances or travel disruption. By that point your rooms and transfers have been committed and paid for on your behalf, and we cannot recover them.
There is no refund for failing to start, arriving late, leaving early, or for any service you do not use. Luggage-transfer-only bookings are the exception: full refund before the first transfer; no refund once transfers have begun.
Because a late cancellation costs you the whole price, please read the insurance note below before you book.
Changes and cancellation by us
If we must materially change or cancel your holiday (for example, accommodation failure we cannot re-cover, or official trail closure), we will offer an alternative or a refund of payments made to us for the affected arrangements.
What our service covers
We arrange accommodation, luggage transfers, route documentation and support as described on the what's included page. Walking is undertaken at your own responsibility on a self-guided basis; you are responsible for your own fitness, equipment, navigation decisions and conduct on the trail.
Insurance
We strongly recommend travel insurance covering cancellation, personal liability and walking activities from the moment you book.
Luggage in transit
One bag per person up to 20 kg. Valuables, medication, electronics and documents must travel with you; bags and externally attached items travel at your risk as described on the luggage transfers page.
Complaints
Tell us during the holiday via the support line so we can fix things while they're fixable. Anything unresolved: contact us within 28 days of your return, via the contact page, and we'll respond properly.
